Google Pedometer

I ran across Google Pedometer, a web app that uses the Google Maps API to measure distances traveled during a running or walking workout. For example, I discovered that my jogging route is a little over three miles.

Back in August I was messing around with the Google API. My idea was to create a form that would take some chemical release and weather data and plot a toxic plume. (I've got most of the calculations from my stint as a hazmat and air pollution scientist).

I was even attempting to learn javascript. (Feh, javascript is awful)

Then came Katrina and I've been otherwise engaged.

Maybe I can cobble something together when I get back.
